Frank Kimmel owns quite a few spots in the ARCA RE/MAX Series record books and in 2006 he took a top spot among stock car drivers. Upon winning his eighth championship that year, seventh straight, he became the first driver to win eight championships on a national stock car tour that competes on both short tracks and superspeedways, surpassing the legendary NASCAR NEXTEL Cup drivers Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt, who each have seven championships.
He is the only ARCA RE/MAX Series driver to have won seven consecutive titles and is the all-time superspeedway lap-leader and pole winner. Kimmel is also the all-time ARCA RE/MAX Series money winner with over $4 million in career earnings.
Additionally, Kimmel is the only driver in ARCA RE/MAX Series history that has been invited to compete in International Race of Champions (IROC). He was invited in 2006 and finished seventh in the standings.
Kimmel is second on the all-time career victory list and career pole award list.
This team manager and driver of the No. 46 began his ARCA RE/MAX Series career in 1990, running two races that year. His first full-time season came in 1992 and he captured the rookie of the year honors that year.
