Tayler Malsam started racing shifter cars when he was 16. He made his ARCA/REMAX debut in 2007 and in 2008 finished ninth in points.
Malsam debuted in the Truck series in 2008 at Bristol Motor Speedway in August with a 36th place finish and his best finish in the series was 21st at his second race in Homestead-Miami.
2009 was the first full season in the Truck series for Malsam and he finished 12th in points with his first career top 5 finish (Iowa) and 10 top 10s.
