Burney Lamar was hired by Kevin Harvick, Inc. to run the full NASCAR Busch Series schedule in 2006 behind the wheel of the No. 77 Dollar General Chevrolet.
Lamar, who won the 2001 NASCAR Southwest Series Rookie of the Year, had competed in a handful of Busch and Truck events for KHI, with a best finish of 21st in the No. 92 Truck at Las Vegas.
