In 2003, Cook earned his third consecutive top-10 finish in the driver championship standings with two poles and 13 top-10 finishes. He is looking to return to his winning ways of 2002 when he posted multiple victories. Easily the most impressive of those victories was his total domination of the Power Stroke Diesel 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park, where he won the pole, led the most laps and drove away from the competition at the finish.
As a young man, Cook had two goals. One was to become a master diesel mechanic and the other to be a winning racer. Throughout his early years, Cook learned the diesel mechanic trade in his father’s automotive shop while his stellar 2002 season behind the wheel of the Power Stroke Diesel Ford allowed him to achieve both goals.
Now at ppc Racing in 2004, Cook enters his fourth year with Power Stroke Diesel in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The relationship between Cook and Power Stroke Diesel continues to grow as both look to return to Victory Lane and at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship.
